Why is this your favourite shirt? It was a couple of years into me supporting Everton and it was different from anything that had come previously.

 

Are there any particular memories that come back when you see this shirt? Yes. Not a particularly good one but I imagine it's the same as most Evertonians. Losing the '86 Cup Final!!

 

Who was the best player to wear this shirt? Easy. Gary Lineker.

 

And the worst? Genuinely can't pick one. We had a very good team, if I was pushed though I'd have to say Neil Adams. Not necessarily bad, just didn't stand out like the rest of the squad

 

How do you rate the shirts of today compared to years gone by? Obviously pricing has gone through the roof (got my first full kit for £30 in 1987!)

 

Sizing is an issue I have problems with. The same kit manufacturer can have different sizing for different shirts in the same season even though they say the same size.

 

Why do you support Everton? It all started with the 1984 FA Cup semi final. Adrian Heath getting the winner v Southampton (it was more the player I fell in love with first, the team came later!)

 

What was the first game you went to and what was the score? QPR at Loftus Road in the 1995-96 season. They went down that season for a long time, and we were their second last victory in the Premier League, beating us 3-1

 

What's your view on the current situation at Goodison? It seems like one debacle after another. We have an owner who while willing to put his money where his mouth is, doesn't have a clue how to run a football club. Instead listening to poor advice from hangers on and football agent friends. Couple that with a chairman who won't let go of his train set and it was always going to fail

 

Do you think that you'll beat the drop again? I think we will. But it will not be due to us doing it ourselves. I think other teams worse form and terrible run ins will be what keeps us up (fingers crossed!!).
